Rob Roy + Matukituki

Rob Roy Peak, 2,644 m, and the Rob Roy Glacier hanging off its face above a side valley of the West Matukituki, in Mount Aspiring National Park. The Rob Roy Track runs 10 km return from Raspberry Flat, over a swing bridge, to a lookout under the ice. About 20,000 years ago this glacier filled the whole valley.
